How to Prep Your Skin For
Your Spray Tan Appointment

Your spray tan is a 50/50 partnership.

Half of your flawless tan comes from our application. The other half comes from how you prepare your skin before your appointment, and how you care for it afterward.

We’ll take care of delivering a smooth, natural-looking tan tailored to you. With the right prep and aftercare, you’ll achieve the even fade, rich colour, and long-lasting results you came for.

  • In the days leading up to your appointment, increase your water intake and keep your skin well moisturized. Well-hydrated skin allows for a more even, natural-looking tan and helps extend wear.

  • Have your last shower approximately 24 hours (or the night before) your appointment, not the day of.

    We recommend using a simple, gentle CLEAR  body wash such as Method or Native.

    Please avoid bar soaps and or any thick, creamy body washes like Dove or Oil of Olay. Even a little of this can leave a film on the skin that may interfere with tan development.

  • Exfoliate your entire body head to toe 24 hours (or the night before) your appointment using an exfoliating mitt.

    Avoid home-made and store-bought scrubs, as they  leave residue on the skin. Instead, we recommend using an exfoliating mitt, brush, or dry brush for best results.

    Ask us about our in-studio exfoliating mitts and tools.

  • Complete any shaving, waxing, or sugaring 24–48 hours before your appointment to allow the skin to settle and pores to close.

    If shaving, please use a razor without a moisture strip to avoid any residue on the skin.

  • Wear dark. loose clothing to your appointment to protect the skin post-tan.

    Long sleeves and pants are ideal. Slip-on footwear such as Crocs or UGG-style shoes are recommended for your tanned feet.

  • Please avoid all oil-based products, exfoliating acids, retinoids, and pimple patches, k-tape for at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. These can disrupt the development of your tan and affect overall results.

  • To ensure a smooth and efficient visit please arrive without jewellery. Removed prior to your arrival, especially bracelets, necklaces, and anklets.

    We strongly recommend leaving valuable or sentimental jewellery at home, as items can occasionally be misplaced during removal. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or forgotten belongings.

    We can safely work around permanent jewellery.

  • Please arrive in time.We operate on a strict schedule to ensure each client receives a full, uninterrupted service.

    A 5-minute grace period is provided. After this time, appointments may be cancelled and a cancellation fee applied.

  • Avoid swimming, sweating, saunas, and intense workouts for at least 24 hours after your tan.

    This allows your tan to fully develop and set for optimal colour and longevity.
